The Testing Process

On the day of your test you will meet with your sleep technician who will take a brief medical history, provide you with more information on sleep apnea and will demonstrate how to use the equipment for testing that night.

The sleep technician will also book you in for another appointment to review the results of your sleep test

That night, wear the equipment to bed as instructed and go to sleep

Return the equipment to the sleep technician by the specified time the next morning. If you have any concerns or queries please either phone your local Healthy Sleep Solutions sleep technician or contact our Head Office on 02 9252 0299

Once you return the testing device, the information that it captured will be sent to the independent specialist sleep physician. The sleep physician will look at your medical history, your symptoms and your test data to make a diagnosis and provide treatment recommendations if needed. Your test results and the specialist sleep physician’s conclusions and recommendations will be reviewed in full with you by your sleep technician at your next appointment. A copy of the specialist sleep physician’s report will also be sent to the doctor that signed your referral form.

  • "The test for sleep apnea was easy. I didn’t realise what a problem my sleep apnea was until I went onto treatment. Now I have more energy, my blood pressure is controlled and my wife is happy that I don’t keep her awake at night.
